Meet Dr. Anderson
Dr. Mike Anderson Jr. DC
I grew up on a farm in S.E. Michigan with my parents and 3 younger siblings. We never went to a chiropractor and very rarely saw a medical doctor but when I was 14 I developed a rash and my mother (who is a geriatric nurse) took me to a medical doctor. He took a look at my rash for a few minutes then stated he didn't know what it was but to try a prescription cream and see if that helps. I remember thinking "He doesn't know if it will help and hopefully it won't hurt me". This didn't sit well with me even back then.
Jumping forward a few years I was in college unsure of what I wanted for a career. I was sure I wanted to help other people but was unsure of how to accomplish that goal. I was in an Anatomy and Phyiology class and found the information on how the body works to be fascinating. My A&P lab instructor happened to be a chiropractor and saw my fascination with the inner body workings and started talking about chiropractic and how it can impact someones health. He had such an enthusiasm for chiropractic that I decided I needed to research this new found information. Long story short, after shadowing a local chiropractic I knew exactly what my future held.
I enrolled in the esteemed Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. My education and expericences at Palmer turned me into a better person and Doctor of Chiropratic.
I graduated in June 2008 and longed to come back to West Michigan to start my new career. Anderson Family Chiropractic opened in Septmeber 2008 and I have had the privilage to help many people of all ages from infants to older adults. I believe chiropractic care can change your life for the better and can't wait to meet my future partners in health.
